Achieving Optimal Food Safety and Supply Chain Transparency

Food and Beverages | Thursday, January 10, 2019

The primary concern today with respect to the global food supply chain is about the enormous challenges in guaranteeing affordable and healthy food. This creates a market place for the providers of the food safety and supply chain transparency solutions. Since 2006, FoodLogiQ has developed solutions that address the growing complex global issues of the food chain and the vast web of regulations that are confronting all modern food companies.

For traceability, food security and supply chain transparency solutions, FoodLogiQ is the leading SaaS provider. The company has created FoodLogiQ Connect, the largest, data-driven solution to provide provider management, compliance with food security standards, quality incident management, retrieval management, and complete chain traceability–all on one platform exclusively built for food industry applications. Companies can use FoodLogiQ Connect to validate supplier compliance with food safety standards and to act confidently in the event of food safety or quality problem in order to meet the mounting regulatory requirements and consumer transparency requests.

Throughout the growth history of FoodLogiQ, many experts have joined the company and continue to join to become a part of the organization. Recently, Sean O'Leary, with over 25 years of experience in the technology industry, has joined the company with a proven previous record of building and scaling highly efficient, effective and successful SaaS companies.

“I am honored at the opportunity to lead FoodLogiQ. We have a unique opportunity to expand upon our established base and continue with the strong momentum driving traceability and transparency in the food industry,” says O'Leary.

O'Leary was the president and CEO of KnowledgeTree Inc., a leading SaaS enterprise in the sales enablement industry which supplies innovative content management software to globally operating enterprises through its industry-led platform before he became CEO at Atlanta-based Synthio. Prior to KnowledgeTree, O'Leary was the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of StrikeIron, a cloud-based data quality platform that Informatica acquired in 2014. In addition, he has also held senior executive posts in companies such as Motorola and Cisco Systems.

FoodLogiQ dominates the food service industry, with a clientele that includes including Buffalo Wild Wings, IPC/SUBWAY, Compass Group USA, Panda Restaurant Group, sweet green, Raising Cane’s, and Tropical Smoothie Cafe. The company extends its reach throughout the entire supply chain to food producers such as Hain-Celestial, Tyson Foods, and Smithfield Foods, food retailers including the Whole Food Market, as well as hundreds of growers, co-packers and marketers.
