The shift toward SaaS applications is presently the strongest software business trend and Epson is supporting this upward trend in the industry with the new-fangled OMS 3.0.

FREMONT, CA: “Food and Beverage retailers need access to real-time actionable data to make more informed decisions. With our OmniLink Merchant Services cloud platform, they can access software for loyalty programs, manage inventory, staffing, loss/prevention, merchandising, logistics, and more,” said Gregg Brunnick, Director of product management & technical services, Business Systems Division, Epson America.

The leading supplier of value-added Point of Sale (POS) solutions, Epson America, Inc. recently announced a suite of cloud-based software solutions called Epson OmniLink Merchant Services 3.0 (OMS), for the retail and hospitality markets. The latest platform supports VARs with Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) opportunities and ongoing revenue streams as well as helps hospitality businesses to position premier cloud-based services for cost control and operational efficiency.

OMS 3.0 integrates significant developments such as the necessary deployment tools, customer access to their OMS activity, transaction and operation management reporting utilities for ISVs and VARs, considerable user experience improvements, and support for revised OMS operations workflows. Low acquisition and subscription costs are included in customer benefits. The VARs now can add cloud services as required and utilize the Epson brand along with industry reputation. The company also allows for multiple deployment options both for new and existing customers.

The chief features of the launch include user-friendly deployment portal for initiating cloud services, streamlined workflow, supreme performance analytics, intuitive interface and single portal, and increased business growth. It also expands the partner network, gives access to best-in-class cloud services, easy-to-use POS system, and cloud access instantly.

Epson OMS allows merchants to analyze data using cloud solutions. The latest OmniLink intelligent receipt printers’ series provides a data gateway, which drives mobile and cloud solutions to take care of the inventory, staffing, loss and prevention, merchandising, logistics, and more without expensive POS integration. ISV adoption of the OMS solution is expanding and is opening up different choices for brands, restaurant operators, and retailers to access a global network of cloud and mobile-based tools.

Epson has made its mark globally as a technology leader committed to becoming indispensable to society by connecting people, and information with its original efficient, precise, and compact technologies. Epson’s latest technology has been at work in millions of POS systems worldwide, for over 30 years.
