Summary: An iPhone/Android app built by Sensaphone allows food facility water and wastewater system operators to monitor equipment and environmental conditions.
FREMONT, CA: Protecting food processing wastewater with remote monitoring devices is a cost-effective option. Food processing factories use considerable water for washing, rinsing, cooking, disinfecting, bottling, canning, and packaging to maintain product quality and protect the environment. Sensaphone's cloud-based Sentinel PRO system and accompanying iPhone/Android app are designed to make it easier for food facility water and wastewater system operators to monitor equipment and environmental conditions.
With the Sentinel PRO system, water and wastewater processing equipment that employs a PLC with Modbus sensors may be easily integrated with the system. In addition to 2-wire RS485 or Ethernet/TCP, data can be retrieved from the system. Also available are 12 digital or analog status conditions, such as the ability to read registers from both interfaces and 12 different registers from both interfaces simultaneously.
Users are alerted instantly if sensor readings go outside predefined parameters, which might signal possible risks to pumps and systems. Alerts can be sent via text message, email, or phone call. Users can access real-time data values, set alarms, acknowledge warnings, study data, and generate reports from mobile devices, tablets, or PCs.
An AT&T, Verizon, or Rogers 4G cellular Sentinel PRO system is available for remote areas without internet or Ethernet connectivity.
