Food and Beverages | Wednesday, August 05, 2020

The launch will provide several additional third-party applications like online ordering, online reservations, employee scheduling, accounting, loyalty, marketing, and reservations that will be available in the marketplace of Shift4.

FREMONT, CA: Shift4 Payments recently announced the launch of a marketplace for complementary third-party software applications to improve the point-of-sale (POS) systems used by the customers. On the other hand, DoorDash, one of the largest and fastest-growing on-demand destinations for door-to-door delivery, became the strategic launch partner.

Any order placed via DoorDash will sync directly with various POS software brands of Shift4 including Harbortouch, Restaurant Manager, POSitouch and Future POS. Merchants will be able to remove iPads or tablets that were previously required to manage the services, one the integration kicks into the online ordering and delivery services. The operations now can be seamlessly incorporated into the POS system itself along with every order managed from a central location. The system saves the restaurant expenses, frees up counter space, and simplifies overall operations. Additionally, to increase operational efficiency and cost savings, the integration significantly improves reporting data of the merchant since a single system is managing every order.
